Meet the doctor

Dr Lakshmi Godbole completed her MBBS and MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the prestigious Seth GS Medical College & KEMH, Mumbai in 2007 and 2011, respectively.

In 2016, she moved to the UK after being selected as an RCOG International Training Fellow.

She worked and trained in the busy NHS hospitals of University Hospitals Birmingham and University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire from 2016 to 2020. She has managed high risk pregnancies and performed complex Caesarean sections as well as difficult instrumental deliveries when vaginal delivery seems the safest option. 

During her time in the UK,  she undertook Advanced Training in Urogynaecology and managed complex pelvic floor problems as part of a multi-disciplinary team. She has completed the Certicate in Urodynamics from Bristol Urological Institute, UK. She was a facilitator in the West Midlands Perineal Repair Teaching course and has been involved in teaching undergraduate medical students Urogynaecology during their rotation in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Dept. 

In 2021, Dr Godbole moved back to Mumbai to start her private practice.
